A M.A.D Challenge!

Well, it’s official! My class is M.A.D!

After months of hard work, planning, and preparation, we finally shared the successes of our Make A Difference projects at our first annual M.A.D Fair.

Breaking news! Read the Chronicle Journal article ‘Project Shows How to Improve World’!

In January, as a “next step” to our Give 4 Christmas Challenge, I challenged my students to embark on their own quests to make a difference. What transpired was nothing short of AMAZING! Their journey can be found on our “We’re Going M.A.D” blog page.  Yesterday we held our first ever M.A.D Fair to celebrate and share the successes of our Make A Difference projects!

Our M.A.D Challenge!

Our NEXT STEP is to challenge other classes throughout the world to join our class to establish a Global Make A Difference Team. The only requirement? Complete a M.A.D Project to help make our world an even better, happier, healthier place to live. Projects can be school wide, done by a classroom or individual students. Once you’ve completed your project(s), come up with a way to share your success (blog, word of mouth, newsletters, social media, M.A.D Fair, etc.)! ** Note projects can be completed this school year or throughout the 2016-17 school year. All resources to get started can be found on our M.A.D Project page! ***Please note: You certainly don’t have to follow  our plan or use our resources! If you’re making a difference ADD YOUR NAME TO OUR M.A.D map and challenge others to go M.A.D too!

If you are interested in joining  our team, please fill in the Global M.A.D Project form or email me at pcameron@tbcschools.ca and we’ll add you to the map below!

Have ideas of who may be interested in joining or suggestions for helping to make our M.A.D project grow? Please SHARE or contact us!

Thanks you for helping to MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

I was impressed and very proud of my son Damiyen and his entire class participating. Loved all the displays at the school. You boys, girls and mr. Cameron should give yourselves a pat on the back. Well done!!! You are M.A.D!!!

Congratulations to all of the grade5/6 class for Making a Difference in your community. What a fantastic job at displaying your idea and sharing it with your families and school community. It was exciting to go through this journey with my son Mason and Cooper. Their passion to make a difference was evident each week that they volunteered at the Humane Society. Their smiles alone made you want to join and help out as well. Glad that they are still going to continue to volunteer. Great job boys we are proud of you.

Hi! My students just finished Make a Difference projects, too! I teach 9th graders in San Antonio, TX, and my 125 students raised over $6000 and volunteered for over 800 hours for 27 different causes.
